Audorch sprinted down the winding street, trying his best not to slip on the loose cobblestones that had been subjected to a whole night of rain. He weaved through the small crowds, dodging various carts and people alike. His eyes darted up, seeing billows of smoke beyond the rooves. It sparked worry in him. The Befrier had been besieging Nyted for some time now, and had pierced through the outer walls of the city. Audorch was with no doubt happy with this, yet he prayed that the fighting would end before it arrived at his district of the capital.

He cut across the street, and into a small alleyway connecting the street Audorch had just been on, and another one running parallel to it. A steady drip of water reverberated throughout the backstreet, sometimes catching the light, causing Audorch's eyes to instinctively dart to the trickle of the rainwater. He spotted an overturned wooden box by the intersection of the stone wall and cobbled pavement, the case just small enough to fit it in the palm of his hand. Audorch picked it up, shaking it, causing it to make a distinct rattling noise. He held the box with the tips of his fingers, then recoiled his arm, and smashed the parcel into the side of the alleyway. The wood splintered into a thousand pieces, drawing blood from his hand. A key fell out, along with a paper note. Audorch picked up both items, inspecting the key first. Much to his disappointment, there was no engraved message for Audorch to analyse. Proceeding with examining the note, he managed to make out an address scribbled hastily on the slip. He recognised the street name, the same one an old friend had lived on. Audorch shredded the paper, watching the paper flutter into a puddle, joining the wooden fragments, before darting off to find the treasure.

As he reached his destination, Audorch stumbled down the final steps and came to a stop infront of a wooden door that was in desperate need of renovation. He slotted the key into the cleft, and turned it. The door fell open, hurting his ears as the hinges creaked. It revealed a dimly lit room, only illuminated by the daylight seeping in through the gaps in the timber. Someone bound down the stairs at the back fo the room, locking eyes with Audorch. "Trahi?", Audorch asked. "You called for me?" As hard as he tried, Audorch couldn't hide his excitement. "Here's what you came here for", Trahi responded, pulling out a stash of crumpled documents from her satchel. Audorch grabbed them, flicking through each of them. "Where did you get these?". She replied, "The barracks, snuck in yesterday". "Shouldn't do that.", Audorch jutted, annoyed, but not surprised. After several moments of searching the papers, his sights landed on a specific page, which he pulled out, laying the others on a rotten windowsill. His finger wandered down the page, and he found his mark. "Avtulver, Cask.", He said, markedly relived. "That's the one", Trahi said with a hint of resentment. Audorch elected to ignore it. He stuffed the paper in his bag, ruining it further, and handed the others back to Trahi, "Try not to get into trouble again", Audorch warned. "I won't", Trahi promised, leaning in for a hug. Audorch accepted the embrace and noted that she was a bad liar.
