I have lived a long life and traveled the breadth of Sylinia.  I sense that my time here is coming to an end.  I do not fear death - I have made my peace and I know Bahamut will watch over me.  

I have spent my many many years of life collecting the stories of those who call this place home.  The best of them have been captured here, in this book.  Guard them well, dear reader.  Protect the stories, for if you are reading this, I am no longer here to do so.  It is my final wish for the conveyance of this text to the Dawn College on the eastern coast of Morain.  I had hoped to take it myself, but even after all these years, I seem to have run out of time.
