It's World Update Day!

IC: The tribe is fifteen days into their journey. Currently, no landmasses could be seen in any direction as the Windchaser is now out over the sea. The weather is beginning to grow colder as the airship continues on its heading North. Based on estimates it will be one more week until the ship makes landfall in the Borean Tundra. There have been talks around the ship about another story circle taking place this week as well as some sort of combat training Korgig has organized.

OOC: [World Updates, or Character Updates, are player written blurbs of character activities that do not necessarily need to be played out in-game and are meant to give an insight into a character's day to day life in addition to what they are doing currently within the story and provide story hooks for other players to go and RP with that individual. Special notes:

-Colder weather is an indicator that we are getting closer to our destination. What does your character think/feel about that?

Character Updates 12/07/20

❏ Venzolo: Venzolo was rather frustrated he could not drum up enough support within the tribe to oppose the chieftain's decision to go north and was beginning to think about drastic measures when Tali’zon came to talk to him late one night. After the conversation Venzolo was at least relatively reassured that the chieftain wasn’t planning on parking the zeppelin at the top of Ice Crown Citadel so that he could fight the new leader of the scourge himself and instead would keep to the edges of the conflict. What’s more is that Venzolo is now thinking of the opportunities that lie within the frozen wastes of Nrothrend. The fallen Frost Troll empire lies in ruins with untold riches, power, and knowledge just waiting to be claimed. With these things in mind Venzolo has begrudgingly accepted that the expedition north might be worth it after all. Knowing they weren’t going to be flying striaght into the heart of the scourge took a lot of stress of the goblin’s shoulders and his mind has now turned to preparing for the expedition. Venzolo was still annoyed though as he had mostly packed for more temperate areas of Pandaria rather than Northrend in winter. Luckily, he had bought some things for Northrend in Orgrimmar just in case he couldn’t get the ship turned around. Though it seemed like Venzolo needed some cold weather clothing that was up to his standards so he might be looking to fill another order with Dursk before they land in Northrend. While Venzolo was told by Tali’zon that the chieftain wasn’t looking to be in the center of the fighting he was still somewhat skeptical and would like to know the details of what the chieftain actually was planning for this campaign so he was looking for an opportunity to talk to Kanatu about it.

Aside from that Venzolo seems to have thrown himself into research about the Drakkari trolls and Northrend trying to formulate a strategy for how he can exploit the land to the fullest. He has also been spending a lot of time locked in his room. Strange lights and noises can often be heard from within. A keen ear might have even been able to pick up what sounded like two Venzolo’s talking with each other in the late hours of the night.

❏ Illgast: Ilgast kept up with his duties to the ship and in the tannery, despite the cooler temperature. He wouldn't pay mind to the cold yet, to give his body a chance to adjust, for it will be far colder where they are headed. He'd spent the bulk of his time within the tannery, making armor and gloves fit for the icy winds of Northrend.

❏ Doomwinter: Doomwinter had quickly disappeared from the feasting hall not long after dropping the news that not only had there been another Lich King, but now he too had seen his reign come to an end. While she still stood her post during the cold nights, she was rarely seen during the day, generally remaining in her chilly cabin. If it was this difficult to think about things now, what was it going to be like to set eyes upon the frozen north once more? Eck was its usual self, spotted here and there around the ship, offering its help, but also gathering various bits and bobs, and of course, it still offered to spend time with Hotah so long as the recovering bull was feeling up for it.

❏ Korgig: The Towateke had kept himself busy with more military matters. His recent argument with Venzolo seemed to only drive him forward more aggressively, perhaps out of some sort of unspoken rebellion. Muuran was crafting maces for the tribe under Doomwinter’s recommendation. Korgig and Dasota were busy keeping everyone in physical shape, but it wasn’t enough. The Mag’har had spoke with those in his cabin, which had been aptly referred to as Lil Orgimmar. To be successful they needed to be stronger, as a whole. The orc decided to schedule combat training for the upcoming week. Much like he had done in Ashenvale before their assault on the Forgotten’s compound. Though these tactics and skills would need to be different. The scourge didn’t feel fear, or so Doomwinter claimed, therefore he would need to develop entirely new tactics for when they finally met this force on the battlefield.

❏ Tali'zon: Tali’zon would be acting strange at times as he looked over a green egg throughout the week. When asked he said he purchased it in Orgimmar at the auction house. Over the week he’s been making sure it remains warm in it’s nest as it’s hatching day nears. Elsewhere besides working within the recovery ward, he has been seeking a way for the tribe to near Zul’drak. After speaking with the chieftain, Venzolo and Atu’luki he seems more cheerful of late for those who work through the night. Though selective most would now hear a kind greetings if they passed him. Though a stranger he may be, he has begun to open up with those in the tribe more it seems.

❏ Tahqu: It was a strange week in Warsong Hold. The natural defenses have been shored, and there have been a number of successful incursions against the cult of the damned. Yet, moods were not quite as bright as expected. One of the more heroic warlock adventurers who were assisting the hold and Tahqa, had a small debacle. For hours Tahqa yelled at Vyletongue to pay tribute to the elementals so that he could assist him in the field of battle. The Forsaken never bothered, and when it came to blows out in the field and when it really mattered.. It appeared as if Tahqa did not bother to recover for the Forsaken’s wounds. Then when carrying his equipment and corpse back. Mysteriously tripped near a cliff, shattering his soul stone and sending the corpse into shambles. To finish off this absurdity Tahqa quickly worked to burn the corpse, stating that he had to stop the corpse from being utilized against us.

❏ Wal'ami: Back in the village the Skyreaver had taken well to tribe life once more. Having returned from the jungle at what seemed to be a fortunate time. No longer was her hair braided, she preferred to wear it down, giving her a wilder appearance that matched her personality. She divided her time between assisting Nataka with the protection of the village and spending time with Aja’it and Huntha. She had joked about how ironic it was that the scourge arrived, considering what happened the last time they ran across Kalimdor. This scourge seemed different from the scouting missions she and Aja’it were performing. They were less organized and seemed to be wandering about. Very different than when Arthas controlled them, to be sure.

❏ Nakira: Nakira started out her new adventure aboard the Winchaser by exploring pretty much every nook and cranny she could reasonably get to. It wouldn't be surprised if anyone at some point saw her wander into their room for a look around. She wouldn't touch anything within the footlockers or otherwise sensitive-looking items but otherwise, her natural curiosity gets her into a lot of stuff aboard the ship. As the temperature began to plummet though, her explorations tended to restrict themselves below deck where it was warmer. It wouldn't be unusual to see her curled up behind something nearby the forge or the engines either as she slept. On that note, it didn't seem Nakira really slept in her room a whole lot. As the days and weeks would pass by, one could find her snoozing in the strangest places, but mostly out of sight of the general foot traffic.

❏ Enyetof: Enyetof seems to grow more unsettled as the weather grows colder. When not attending to his duties, he is working furiously on his notes. He seems to be putting together a list of materials, but seemingly not related to his alchemy. He is often restless, usually pacing the deck in his off hours.

- Enyetof has requested to speak with Jaeva, Dakoda, and Ruhanik. As he puts it, there are many loose ends to be tied up before reaching Northern.

❏ Kanatu: The mood of the Chieftain had been reserved, resolute, and stoic since the story circle. His mind tugged at the problems and choices he was facing as well as the combined realities of his past. He could still be seen working about the ship and he spoke lightly with those that he met along the way but between his thoughts and the restless sleep he gave off an air of restlessness. He sought out long fights in the Arena to wear himself out. The kaliri was gone again, likely delivering a letter back to the village. Despite his mood Kanatu still would see to any problem he was called to, setting aside his own troubles. He encouraged everyone to do all they could to prepare for what was to come but hadn't given direct orders as of yet. He seemed to be of a mind that said he was trusting people to do what they knew they could to prepare. Though of course, this sort of hands-off tactic might end up bitting everyone in the rear.

❏ Aja'it:  Aja had a harder time working himself back into tribe life. Having returned from the jungle the troll would be very different. His transformation from his rituals would have him looking part beast and part troll. Though Wal'ami had been right to take him away when she did. The last several months away had allowed the Primal the time he needed to balance his feral Beast Within against his life as a father and mate. He still shadowed Wal'ami wherever she went when he wasn't spending time with an even older and slower Rahjin. He seemed even more protective over Wal'ami now though, not letting anyone get close to her. If there was a reason for this he wasn't letting anyone know.

Shogra: Had spent a lot of time in quiet thought. Not even Bonedog's continued antics could really ruffle her. She had found that for the most part she would be useless to the tribe. Logic told her that as a Deadshot she was skilled at taking down living targets. Where a bullet in the skull or through the heart or hell even through the lungs would slow down and kill her prey. That is what she was good at. Without her War Kodo her skill was reduced to an average competence with axes. This set her into a foul mood. Combined with her continued ignoring of Brarset it found her trying to figure out what to do next. She had promised Dursk she would come along, she hadn't promised to be useless.

❏ Brarset: After his talk with Mahala Brarset tried to talk to Shogra a few times but it never got anywhere too deep. The gentle giant seemed to be fairing the best out of everyone with the changing weather. The cold of Northrend was much closer to his native Highmountain so he stayed above deck most of the time. Not to mention it was just easier for him to move around up there. After his shift, he would often go to the Stern Deck and hover. Watching and frowning.

Lorena: A goblin with idle hands is never a good thing. With the engine humming along as it should Bonedog and Lorena found themselves with time on their hands. Spare parts and metal would soon go missing from all over the ship thanks to Lorena's mechanical spider who was apparently set to harvester mode. It was worse than Benedict! All the bits and bobs would make it to the Engine room where the two were working on a number of engineering staples. Bombs, rockets, mines, weighted nets, and all manner of other fire-based surprises. Bonedog wasn't one to keep quiet about things that explode so he was shouting it all over the ship with glee. Fire cured basically anything in his mind. From living plants and fungus to the scourge. Lorena however didn't speak at all about it. She was busy working. Because she worked so hard during her shift and late into the night she didn't seem to be too bothered by Venzolo's strange habits which she could hear between their walls. Dead to the world, passed out at her personal workbench.

Dasota: Much like Shogra Dasota found himself in a bit of trouble. His main weapon was the spear. He had perfected its use and how to wage war with it since he was small. It was a brave's weapon. One that was both a tool of war and a tool to provide for his tribe. Unfortunately, it wasn't a tool for fighting against the dead. Spears at best might keep a few undead slowed down if he put the points through their chests and lodged the end into the dirt. He would scratch his head for a day or so about the issue and then during the changing of shift Dasota would pull Korgig aside and pick the orc's brain about a replacement weapon that used many of the same movements as a spear that he could learn quickly and then request it be made for him.

Muuran: Muuran was in his element. Creating maces was his specialty so when Korgig told him to start making them he attacked the order with more than a little energy. He designed several different types of warhammers. All with blunt ends and sharp spike-like backs. He reasoned that while most enemies would need their bones turned to dust the spike would be needed for anything wearing armor. Weak armor could be more easily crushed and it was more of an all-purpose tool for survival out in the wilds. The structure was solid metal to prevent the heads from breaking off in the heat of battle and each one was taken to Ilgast and Mahala to be fitted with a protective grip. He instructed that the first layer of the grip should be made of thick wool to cushion the vibrations of impact, and the outer layer would need to be made of some of the Corehound hide that was leftover. This would result in a handle that would be constantly above freezing temperatures and keep hands from sticking to the raw metal. He intended to make three maces for each person, custom fit for their strength and size. He also asked Korgig about making axes. The idea being that an ax could be used to cut limbs from bodies but also provide another tool of survival in the form of cutting wood for fires as well as other things.

❏ Bonedog:  The Laughing Skull had decided after stories that it would be a great idea to go around to all the wyverns and measure their skulls. Bonedog then spent a lot of his downtime flying with those wyverns that would carry him, tossing himself out the bay doors of the third deck to practice controled flight, and fighting. Fighting with the wyverns, fighting with the other orcs, even picking a fight with Dasota. This resulted in the orc being the first person to ever grace the Recovery Room with an actual need. He had gotten a nasty claw mark over his back from one of the wyverns after he punched her in the nose. The wound would be healed fairly quickly between the three healers who lurked down there and Bonedog was sure to laugh about it all the way through. When he wasn't doing that he and Lorena were working on some special projects in the engine room.

❏ Dakoda: Dakoda was really beaten down after the story circle. Not only had he not done well but his story had been pointed out as boring and unhelpful. Combined with the continued lack of sleep, taking care of Hotah and the wyverns, and the conversation with Doomwinter he looked about as cheerful as Kanatu. He hardly ate and his eyes were red from his lack of sleep. He spent long hours working on something away from his cabin. The Third deck is a place where no one hardly went it seemed to she worked there, alone. He would often ask Jaeva or Enyetof for herbs from their stock and he borrowed a very big pot from Harnor. He wasn't a skilled combatant like his brothers and combined with his false leg he knew he wouldn't be much use to others in a fight. But what he hoped he could do was at least get those close to him some solid sleep before they arrived. The trouble was that he didn't know the full extent of the problem. He thought that it was just Hotah, Dasota, himself, and Doomwinter.

❏ Harnor:  The cook was ever cheerful. Though the threat they sailed into had him troubled to say the least he still didn't let it get to him too badly. He had a job to do and that was to keep everyone fed and comfortable as best as possible. While the ingredients at his disposal weren't his usual fair the food continued to be excellent and his singing from the kitchens each day would become a staple. He specialized in bouncy sea shanties which he had taken the liberty of altering to accommodate sailing on the winds rather than the seas.

It's World Update Day!

IC: The Windchaser has entered a storm which was impossible to avoid. Though Venzolo did his best to navigate, there was no way around it. To traverse the storm the ship is traveling at a lower altitude while it is assaulted by thunder, lightning, rain, and sleet. The storm has currently been going on for a day and there is no end in sight. Kanatu has spent his time on the main deck trying to keep lightning from directly striking the vessel. One strike of lightning did find the ship which started a deck fire which has been extinguished. The balloons also took some damage, but have been since repaired.

Character Updates 12/14/20

❏ Venzolo: The storm kept Venzolo very busy between managing the helm which he seemed reluctant to give up even to Ruhanik, and moving around the ship looking for damage and doing repairs. It was a wonder that the goblin was on his feet at all as for much of the trip it almost seemed like he never slept. A pot of coffee almost always on brew within the kitchen just for him would see Venzolo drinking more than a dozen cups day and night. His exhaustion was made evident to all when one day he fell asleep midstride in the hall outside the engine room. After which Venzolo would insist he was fine and go right back to his clearly not fine sleeping routine. However, Venzolo was remarkably high functioning even on extremely little sleep as he navigated the ship through the storm most days and would steal the helm from Ruhanik whenever it got particularly bad. The repairs to the ship that Venzolo oversaw or were done himself were also very well done and, despite the storm, the ship was still moving ahead steadily towards Northrend. Though something definitely seemed to be worrying the goblin again.

❏ Illgast: During the storm, Ilgast would be down with the animals doing his part to help keep them from ransacking that area of the ship, as(( hopefully)) many dont like the sound of thunder in their ears.

❏ Doomwinter: If the storm was a blessing to anyone on the Windchaster, it was Doomwinter. The death knight had quickly volunteered to take as many posts on deck as necessary to help. She appeared every bit her namesake, covered in freezing rain and ice as she worked. If anything, to her it was as though the sleet was salve to lingering wounds, or perhaps just memories of wounds, the horrid burning of the Light she’d endured at the hands of the Chieftain. After the first day, in the dead of night, for a couple of hours she could have been spotted out on deck near the bow of the ship with the carved wooden water totem she’d put to use in Dire Maul, sitting on the deck with it. The ghoul too of course was happy to serve extra duty on deck, though it was careful to lash itself to railings or other supports when it was working, seemingly convinced that one blast of wind might send it into the sea. As the decks grew slick with ice, it would offer lengths of rope or leather straps to other deck workers who were unsecured, apparently having appointed itself deck safety officer. The rare times Doomwinter was not at work on deck for the duration of the storm, she was once again in her cabin, beginning work on experimenting with some kind of glyphs.

❏ Korgig: The Mag'har took issue with the storm they were currently sailing through. To him, it seemed like a direct challenge posed by their destination directly. He was on the main deck, trying to anything not tied down from going over the railing, this included himself. As Kanatu used his shamanism to try to redirect the lightning, Korgig spent his time roaring at the storm as if it was a way to assert dominance. It did little to actually calm the storm, but it made the orc feel as if he had some semblance of control over the situation. This would continue for a few hours until Bonedog and Muuran could convince (drag) Korgig below deck to work on keeping the forge fires lit. The heat from the forge could be used to warm those who had been exposed to the elements and it helped to keep all of their minds off of the current storm and potential for falling into the sea.

❏ Tali'zon: Working his days within the Recovery Ward, Tali'zon has had little to do besides ever so often checking in on Narv when the other's were not on duty. His conversations with Atu'luki and Venzolo weighing on his mind as the week went by, he had little other to think of or do. A slight boredom had taken over, if it weren't for the view of the sea or the tales of what may have awaited them in the north. Besides of course, the raptor egg. Every day and night he looks into the warm nest with curiosity. And as of recently he could have sworn it shift ever so slightly.

❏ Mahala: Mahala has been hard at work. One of her side projects had been completed, and she had put all of her other projects on the back burner to make sure that the tribe had warm clothing for Northrend. She worked tirelessly in any hours she wasn’t sleeping or training, and it seemed that fate wouldn’t even let her have that. While she was down with the animals getting Benedict all settled in for a chicken play date, a storm raged around the ship. Even if the damage it caused to the ship was kept as limited as possible, the effect it had on the mind of others was immense. She knew there would be those with worries, so she went around and did her best to make sure that everyone was calm. She knew that perhaps this wasn’t the best time, and that she might get her feelings hurt, or physically damaged from the encounter, but Mahala did her best to look for Hotah. She had put off her visit long enough, and she knew if she were going to give the gift she wanted to give him, the storm would be the perfect place for such a gift... after all, if they start plummeting from the sky, it would be a good gift to have. She only hoped he would accept her.

❏ Dursk: With new revelations flying through the orc’s mind, Dursk had work to do. Despite the new orders from the Chieftain to double training, Dursk practically threw himself into it, spending most waking moments training in some way, shape or form. Be it training with weapons he was not used to, or even spending time with Eck to study him, the orc was always busy, and always stuck inside his head. He eventually got around to asking Shogra to help him train in an attempt to get to know her a little better... two birds with one stone, all that good stuff. Aside from his attempts to save the lone orcess from the fate that is Bonedog, Dursk would work at his table in his room, working on the patterns Venzolo had given him, or down in the bowels of the ship keeping track of supplies. He also made sure to check in with Harnor. Kireena wasn’t around, but that was no excuse to let the supplies dwindle, he wouldn’t be much of a trader if that happened. He had a fairly steady workload until the time of the storm. His habits changed drastically, and he spent much of his time with the other villagers repairing any damage or keeping things and people from flying overboard. He couldn’t help the Chieftain with the lightning, but he could definitely keep the fire caused by lightning from burning them straight into the ocean. He was tired, but he would rather be tired than dead.

❏ Nakira: Nakira would have a morbid curiosity with the storm overhead. It was terrifying in the extreme, but it was just unloading so much potable water! Everything inside of her screamed to collect as much of it as she could, and so she did! Various buckets would be left out and collected during the storm as Nakira made sure the water storage barrels were kept topped off. Even then, various containers not being used for anything would wind up full of water as well. With her scampering, Nakira didn't have much time to think upon if they would plunge into the water. That was probably a good thing.

❏ Enyetof: The storm has not sat well with Enyetof, especially so close to their destination. Any loose cargo or material has found itself firmly rooted to the deck. Enyetof has also been found below deck attempting to keep the livestock from panicking. The wyverns themselves may be acclimated to storms, but better to keep the other animals calm than put the wyverns at risk from a miniature stampede.

❏ Kanatu: Once the storm came over the Ship Kanatu worked continually to try and keep the worst of the storm at bay. He was a powerful shaman but even with that skill and the help of Atuluki it was not enough to protect the whole of the ship. Storms were chaotic and the elements that drove them onward were even more unruly. There was one good thing about the storm though. He was too tired to be bothered by his dreams. Catching small naps between his work and whenever Atuluki could handle things alone he still lacked his usual sleep which put him in a foul mood and it wasn't helped by his lack of time to eat. Many in the tribe would recognize the signs of his powers taking their tole. Unfortunately there was no fix and no one to pass on the duties to. All anyone could do was hope that the storm broke in time for him to get some sleep and food before they hit Warsong Hold in the Tundra. The risk of him pissing off the wrong people was a bit too high for comfort. Activation of Negative Traits:

Ancestral Awakening

Description: Due to the constant link Kanatu maintains with the Skyrunner spirits through the Skyrunner Totem he is susceptible to sleep loss, nightmares, waking dreams, and dissociation. He also requires a great deal of sleep and when he doesn't get that sleep it's fairly bad for him.

Stat Modifications: -2 Constitution, -2 Diplomacy, -2 Perception when sleep-deprived

Spirit Drain

Description: The magic needed to keep the link with the Skyrunner totem has a huge drain on Kanatu and as such he has to eat. A lot. So much so that after a single day without food the damage to his body and his mental state starts to creep in.

Stat Modifications: Gain a stack of a Starvation effect. Each stack causes you to become more irritable and less able in combat. - 1 to Charisma and Strength each stack.

❏ Jaeva: The healer has so been working away in the healing room, keeping an eye on a boiling cauldron of healing potion that she had read up on from Enyetof's notes. Potions weren't always her strong suit, so she was hoping the bad handwriting was being read correctly. Between watching the cauldron, she is spending her time with Narv in his room, rotating him to avoid bedsores, and giving him his pain medication throughout the day. She would keep him company through the storm, thumbing through a book and keeping him updated on what has been going on throughout the ship as it travels.

Dasota, Dakoda, and Ruhanik: Just after the storm broke over the ship Dakoda ransacked the healing area for supplies. Speaking with Tali'zon, Jaeva, and Enyetof to get what he needed the latter two might recognize some of the materials as the same ones he had asked for the night he had Dreamwalked through Koza's mind. He would dodge any questions regarding the situation and why he needed the materials and only promised to replace them once they got to the Tundra. That same night he and Ruhanik would disappear into one of the empty rooms of the Living Quarters. Dasota sat outside the room the whole night guarding the door so that Ruhanik and Dakoda were not interrupted. That night everyone that had been having nightmares would get a break at last from them. The cost though was that Dakoda and Ruhanik didn't wake up. Dasota wouldn't let anyone in the room if people were looking for them.

❏ Atuluki: With the storm's arrival, the troll had been pulled up to the main decks with Kanatu. She offered her assistance to keep the lightning at bay, with the combined power of the chieftain. Four golden leopard carved totems have been placed at the front, the sides, and the back of the ship in a diamond formation. Though the troll stood at the center with her arms raised to the air in kalimag chanting to have lightning bend away from the ship.

@everyone It's World Update Day!

IC: The storm started four days ago and lasted two and a half days. The skies have cleared as the Windchaser continues toward its destination. Many tribesmen aboard the ship were being plagued with dreams, but those dreams seemed to cease after the first night of the storm. Dakoda and Ruhanik had also disappeared below deck during that first night and have yet to be seen. Shogra was the first to spot land and called it out to those nearby. Warsong Hold would be reached in a few hours. Kanatu ordered everyone to remain on the ship when they arrive. The chieftain wished to make sure that his tribe would disembark as a group when that time came. The weather in the Borean Tundra is both cold and windy, but it is expected that during the sunlight hours the wyverns would be able to fly for a while without getting frostbite.

Character Updates 12/21/20

❏ Venzolo: Venzolo was more active than ever as the ship approached the shores of Northrend. The bags under his eyes seemed to have also disappeared as he seems to have begun getting sleep again. The most obvious sign of this is that his coffee intake has dropped drastically after the storm. Venzolo’s doubts about the expedition north have been laid out for all to hear the entire trip north but since it seems that the others are stubbornly keeping to this mission and he knows quite well by now the stubbornness of the tribe. Knowing that nothing would sway the tribe from their chosen course the only thing left to do was to try and make sure they all didn’t die in the frozen north. And plunder the remains of a certain troll empire if the opportunity presented itself. Venzolo has worked with dursk on a new robe which Dursk has sown and Venzolo will enchant. If worked as designed they will keep whoever wears it magically warm against the extreme temperatures. For a goblin used more to the heat of the tropics it was essential for Venzolo and the project was nearing completion. Once they arrived, he was eager to do some trading. The skyrunners produced plenty of products that would not be common in these far flung areas and he planned to cash in. Especially since Kireena wasn’t around to nag him about leeching a few extra supplies from the hold. He also wanted to probe the locals for information about the Drakkari empire and its current state. He didn’t really care about scourge movements other than how it would affect their path to the fallen troll empire. He hoped not to stay too long in the horde stronghold as he knew the longer they lingered in northrend the more time the scourge would have to coat the continent. He was hoping this campaign would be short and profitable.

❏ Illgast: Ilgast would spend the remainder of the flightbelow deck with Yuna, his loaner wyvern. He had begun crafting new leather armor for Enyetof and Nakira. But no where near completion. Upon landing in Warsong hold, he wouldn't barter, he had everything he needed, nor did he wish to know more of the scourge, he knew enough for now. He would, though, seek out any word of the Sin'dorei he befriended.

❏ Doomwinter: As the journey approached its end, Doomwinter had spent most of her time either up on deck or in her cabin at her writing desk; more the latter as her services were less in demand after the storm broke. Most of her work was in the form of glyphs, though there were a few sketched maps of Northrend or parts of it also arrayed on her desk, the death knight pausing her other work to fill in parts of the maps as bits of broken memory surfaced for whatever reason. When the orders came that they were permitted to disembark, her intent was to make contact with any local Ebon Blade members to get the most recent news. If they’d crossed paths during crew shift changes, Doomwinter would have asked Venzolo for a few minutes to discuss a couple of matters pertaining to the ship. Eck, in the meantime, had spent its last few days working on a new project - it had done its best to make a new pack so it could carry more stuff. Dragging a burlap sack around was all well and good, but after having to tote a couple tauren skeletons around, it had realized it would need something better, so it had put together its best version of an external frame backpack. The shoddy construction would probably make a grummle weep in pain at the sight of it, but it seemed to serve its purpose. Of course, the ghoul being the ghoul, it couldn’t keep itself from decorating its new equipment, and it had hung a couple feathers, tarnished coins and rings, and other things from the wooden frame. There was even a little stick at the top with a pale blue scrap of fabric hanging from it that danced about in the wind, something that seemed to amuse the undead critter to no end.

❏ Korgig: Korgig had spent the days since the storm's end preparing to make landfall. The last training session conducted brought to light different tactics that would need to be utilized. In order to execute on such tactics, the Mag'har would require certain things. The first on his list would need the help of the Blackrock seamstress. Though before seeking out the green skin, he decided to visit the forge. Muuran had been toiling away and created ten maces which were light enough to be wielded with one hand, and but heavy enough to shatter skulls. The apprentice was pleased with Korgig's praise on his work, though the orc did point out that none of them compared to the Warchieftain's mace which the tauren had also crafted. Back in "Lil' Orgimmar" the orcs (including Muuran) were falling into more traditional evenings. Aside from drinking ale to remain strong and healthy, they had taken to sharing stories of Draenor, of past victories, of honor and glory. Though Korgig seemed to do a great deal of the talking, the Mag'har had enjoyed those moments. The evenings brought on a feeling of nostalgia and sentiment for the orc, not that he would ever share that with his cabin mates. No, some things were meant to be kept to one-self.

❏ Tali'zon: The storm is not pleasant for a sand troll who’s never even been on a ship before. Keeping to his tasks aboard the ship, he’s enjoyed the simplicity of life that has come with the travel despite knowing the tribes destination. However, it seems new companies arrives as a small little raptor egg has just hatched within the Lil’Barrens...

❏ Nakira: Nakira would have been one of the first to touch the ground with her own two feet as soon as the Chieftain gave the go ahead, but it was after a whole lot of looking over the railing in longing and quick glances back at the assembling tauren and friends. She was impatient! As fun and new flying was, she definitely appreciated being on land once more. After that was a bunch of explorations. Both in Warsong Hold and the immediate vicinity beyond it. With the winter leathers Ilgast had gotten her, she was braving the weather a whole lot better than she did when they were in the air!

❏ Enyetof:  With time to focus, Enyetof has been working with several pieces of wood, attempting to shape them as Ruhanik did. The process has been slow, and more often than not result in splintered and broken sticks. One seems to be holding up well to his experiments and is beginning to take shape. Enyetof has requested some time to gather supplies and information once the tribe arrives at their landing point.

❏ Jaeva: During the span of the Tribe's travels, Jaeva has been working on healing potions for the tribe with the assistance of Enyetof. The supplies would allow each person on the ship to have three potions each, kept in a hand sized vials filled with glittering, bitter ruby colored liquid. Jaeva has anticipated their arrival at Warsong Hold, pondering if she would even see the same faces she once befriended so long ago. Perhaps they survived the horrors of the north, or moved on elsewhere.

❏ Atuluki: The troll seems indifferent to activities among the ship, and even more indifferent to the cold weather. When not tasked with heavy duty work by the small helmsman, Atuluki has often been seen with the animals in the lower decks. Specifically, the troll was spending time with Nifu, playing with her in hopes to get rid of some of that pent up energy. The Snowfeather has been restless, cooped up in the ship. With full feathers and wings along her now long arms, Nifu is eager to glide around in the cold air.

❏ Bonedog and Lorena: The two engineers were hard at work as ever. With the temperature dropping and the added stress of the storm some problems had come up with the ship. After her talk with Venzolo Lorena seemed to be less high strung and could be seen wandering the ship with her mechanical companion more often taking care of little problems quickly and efficiently. She let it be known to anyone that asked that she was not going to be leaving the ship under most any circumstance. Bonedog on the other hand nearly flung himself over the rail of the deck when they got close to the Hold. Thankfully the wyvern he had been paird with snagged the orc by the belt and tossed him to the deck before sitting on him to keep him still. Even ignoring the bites that the Laughing Skull gave in return.

❏ Brarset and Shogra: The gentle giant and Shogra seemed to have made amends, at least a little. There was still a slightly awkward air between them as if they had an argument recently. The Highmountain still hadn't told anyone of his possible idea to join the tribe as a full member but his work with heavy weapons was increasing slowly. Shogra, thanks to Dursk, was as well. She still hated that her guns were mor or less useless against the scourge forces but perhaps someone within the Hold might have some clever ideas. Of course, she was a bit too reserved to voice her worries with anyone on the ship even though some of them might have clever ideas too.

❏ Dasota, Dakoda, and Ruhanik: Daosta remained outside the door of the room that Dasota and Ruhanik had gone to, ignoring his other duties and passing them off to someone else on this night crew. It was important that everyone get their rest and Dasota, despite knowing what his brother was doing should have only taken about eight hours, now going on four days, was determined that no one disturb them. He didn't know what might happen but he knew it couldn't be good. As a result of his watch-dog like vigil the three of them had not eaten for four days and only water had been given to the two sleepers now and again by Dasota. Perhaps soon they would wake and be able to tell those afflicted by Nightmares what was going on and why they had suddenly stopped mid-message.

❏ Narv, Muuran, and Harnor: With Northrend finally insight the master craftsman of the ship were hard at work as usual. Harnor had created emergency survival packs for everyone. A small, tightly packed leather bag that contained five days of food, a waterproof fire starter, ice picks, extra gloves, socks, and earcaps, and one fur-lined leather cover with stakes that was intended to be used as a door or roof to a survival snow cave. Narv had helped Ilgast and Mahala where he could with instructions on how to create some specific items of warm clothing and the mixture of curing pastes that would give the leather some resistance against the wet and ice. Mostly though he worked, slowly and carefully, on the wyvern saddles. Ensuring that they were well fitted, lined with new fur and wool, and blessed for the cold weather. It wasn't much but keeping the armor and leather on the wyverns from freezing in the wind chill would be vital for their survival. Muuran helped out wherever he could when he wasn't in the forge, mostly giving a hand to Narv while the others were busy.

❏ Kanatu: As the ship came into Warsong Hold Kanatu looked out over the rail of the Windchaser with anticipation and hard thought. He had been very distant and taciturn even with Jaeva the last few days since the storm. His breath gathered before him in little puffs of steam, his armor radiated heat and steamed heavily in the cold. He looked, and to those around him, felt apart from the whole. Perhaps on purpose, and perhaps simply because he was preparing for what awaited them. His totem now was glowing non-stop as the spirits of the ancestors spoke to him and fed him with power. He had ordered that the windserpent wings that Doomwinter had gathered from the massive beast she hunted be fixed to the sides of the ship so that the metal-capped bow was flanked by the shimmering black feathered wings. He had also had the few banners and flags of the Skyrunners to be displayed. There would be no mistaking the Windchaser for a ship of the Horde. With its white ballons and the rich brown banners with the wyverns on them. He intended to make it known to all those that could see that his people had arrived and were not afraid.

Character Updates 12/28/20

@everyone It's World Update Day!

IC: The first taste of the scourge was not a successful one. Overlord Razgor's Bone Golem was relentless in its attack and the Overlord claimed this to be one of the lesser scourge enemies. During the attack a member of the tribe nearly died to the onslaught. Many stood by idle as the attack occurred either from fear or simply doubt. If one enemy could do so much harm, how would an army of such an enemy be survived?

OOC: [World Updates, or Character Updates, are player written blurbs of character activities that do not necessarily need to be played out in-game and are meant to give an insight into a character's day to day life in addition to what they are doing currently within the story and provide story hooks for other players to go and RP with that individual. We post these on Discord for people to read and interact with one another.]

Special notes:

-We've been introduced to a lot of NPCs for the campaign. How does your character feel about them or about specific factions? i.e. Ebon Blade and Argent Crusade.

-How does your character feel about what occurred during the training with Overlord Razgor? Many were slow to act, slow to unify, and slow to give orders. Have the lessons learned in Ashenvale and the stories told on the Windchaser been forgotten?

-Timeline: Wednesday's event ended at about 2pm (ic time) on day 2 of being in Northrend. Monday event will begin at 7pm (ic time) on day 3. -Be sure to add updates for your alts as well as your main characters. Even those remaining behind in the village should have an update.

-DM all character updates to @ Korgig (Wal’ami) in discord by 7pm server today. If we don't receive them we can't add them to the guild's story!

-This will be the last reminder for World Updates today

❏ Venzolo: Venzolo was hard at work around the zeppelin and around Warsong Hold. Despite the chieftain's words of no one should go to ground alone Venzolo obviously didn’t believe that applied to him as he made several trips to ground without telling anyone at all. Mainly stocking up on some engineering supplies and looking around digging for bits of info on Northrend in general. He had gone to look at the large map that is in the middle of the hold where the horde command is usually set up and memorized it. He is now recreating it so he can have an accurate map of Northrend going forward though such an intricate map would take a bit of time to draw. Venzolo seems more energized than ever after doing some digging in the Tavern with Tali’zon and finding a bit of info on the fallen kingdom of Zul’Drak and those who seemed to be picking at its edges. He seemed eager to be on their way to the east. He hoped in moving east they would encounter some who had more up to date information on Zul’Drak. Perhaps this feast that the chief was planning on having them attend would have some of these flat faced tauren who knew the area. Venzolo was a little annoyed that the chieftain hadn’t informed him they would be having training fighting against the scourge. After all he didn’t need training but he admitted that the others could use some help. To this end Venzolo has approached Lorena with a plan to make a large amount of hand-held fire bombs that he could distribute so everyone could have a couple in an emergency. Aside from this Venzolo was tired of not knowing the game plan not to mention that strange exchange with the Ironwoods fella. The Chieftain had seemed more closed in than usual lately and was keeping his plans close to the chest. After all he had sprung that Feast idea on them without any warning at all. Venzolo was done being in the dark. It was time he had a chat with the chieftain.

❏ Illgast: Ilgast would have spent his time conversing with thr Ebon blade, I hopes to glean information on his old Sin foreign friend. But mostly trying to forget the folly that became of the Overlords training. He knew what should've been done but the sight of the bone golem shattered his nerves, all he could think of was almost being cut in half during his first encounter with one.

❏ Korgig: Failure. The tribe's first encounter with the scourge was a failure for a number of reasons. Mahala's guts being spilled onto the ground being only one of them. The tribe was slow to act, aside from Venzolo whom the orc had never seen move so fast to save his hide when danger arrived. That should've been expected of the goblin. Though there were other things that weren't as expected. The clan was slow to act to come to Mahala's aid. Doomwinter remained frozen either from fear...or something much worse, he decided. Even Korgig wasn't free from that failure, he waited too long to give the order but that was a burden he was used to shouldering by now.

The other factions didn't concern the orc too much at the moment. They weren't clans like the Skyrunner and he didn't give them a great deal of thought. The horde not seeking to toss him back on trial was a pleasing thought. Truly his release from Orgimmar was an honorable one. The Taunka, however, did seem to bother him more than the Ebon Blade and Even the Argent Crusade. Taka had a look in his eye. A look the orc knew well enough. It was predatory at the least, and dangerous at the worst. Even still, Kanatu knew the flat face and the clan had been invited to some feast. He had decided to follow the clan to honor the invitation and Kanatu, but would not become too comfortable until he was sure there wasn't some ulterior motive to the invitation.

❏ Nakira: For the past little while now, Nakira has become a new apprentice of sorts to Harnor in the kitchens. Thanks to his guidance though, the quality of the food put out hasn't decreased by very much. Slowly but surely though, she's improving. Mixed in to her learning of the culinary arts, Harnor has also started to teach the vulpera her letters and numbers. That battle has been a much slower grind then of her cooking. It wasn't nearly as immediately rewarding as when a hot pot of stew comes off the fire of course.

In her free time, Nakira could also be found in the roost a lot more as she tended to her new (loaned) mount, Itahl. They were unsure of each other, both being prideful in their own ways but so far they haven't butted heads. She's yet to ask for any of venom from the creature, though it took almost everything in her power to do so. Her own supply was pretty much at the end of it's lifespan and would soon be useless but she wanted to bond properly before she started taking from Itahl. At other times she could be reliably found near the engine room as the heat naturally drew her there. In those times it wasn't unusual to hear a curious little melody playing from a music box she almost constantly played. The sounds fascinated her.

During the training session, Nakira did her usual best to remain hidden in plain sight as the instructor went on. Went things went sideways though, Nakira was one of the first to move.. though it was in the opposite direction of the rampaging undead! During the whole ordeal, Nakira remained hidden as the creature was eventually run down. She knew undead were dangerous but she never really interacted with any like that! Sure there were those intelligent undead in Vol'dun and the normal sized ghouls that rampaged around the world but this type was new to her. And it was terrifying. Nakira knew for sure she didn't have the skills to really help combat them, specially not something like that. And there was an army of those things!? Boy did she hope and pray to Jani that the scourge didn't have any flying undead

❏ Tali'zon: Tali’zon has been busy of late, during their stay here near Warsong Hold he has only ever been on the ship to rest or take after the young raptor that is currently getting fitted for warm furs, though if asked he has yet to name the small creature. Seen with the goblin Venzolo he has been gathering information that may aid the tribe in finding items of interest. As strange as it may seem the Farraki troll has stayed near the goblin for a majority of their stay. Whether out of self interest, or a bond of wayward friendship was forming between the two, was hard to decide from onlookers.

❏ Naltok: Naltok, having been surprised with the news of the Skyrunner Tribe still being alive, had the opportunity to rejoin in their endeavors in the North. He spent time getting familiar with the Windchaser and stocking his limited property on it. He was also fortunate to have his cousin Dasota fill him in on some of the aspects that had happened since the Skyrunner Tribe had been attacked. Naltok felt re-energized after having his goals reset on trying to help tame Northrend, but there was a certain uneasiness still present within him that he knew he couldn't escape. He tried his best however to meet his new family and look forward to their future adventures.

❏ Mahala: After the incident with the scourge, Mahala could be considered mostly healed. Mostly healed meaning her insides were no longer outside, but the scarring and damage that had been done internally would weaken her for a while, and though she was able to spend more time with Jaeva in the healer’s area, she was full of bitterness. Their first encounter with the Scourge was embarrassing. She made sure to call upon Doomwinter and deck to thank them, especially Eck for his helpful hint. While Mahala was busy healing, she spent a lot of time making the raptor vest she promised the trolls. It wasn’t much, but she couldn’t pull full pieces of leather into the healer area. Aside from the gigantic blunder, Mahala thought often on whether or not to introduce herself to the Primal. She was rather intrigued by the appearance of one, especially with a demeanour such as his, though after being injured, she wasn’t too keen on doing much of anything for the moment. She knew the importance of rest, and would only move from her bed when called upon.

❏ Dursk: Dursk hadn’t spent much time in the hold. He had little interest in it, and all his work was in the skyship. He had projects on the go that required a lot of his attention, mostly the banner Korgig wished to have made for the tribe. This unfortunately forced Dursk to enter the Hold a couple times, but he kept to himself and only got what he needed, searching mostly for dyes or sharpening stones for his shears. After that, he kept to himself once more and hunkered down to work. He heard about those that would be joining them for their flight, and heard more about their destination as well. He knew little about the Taunka but he was rather interested to see how the celebration would differ from that of the Skyrunners.

❏ Brarset and Shogra: These two had been seen around the hold a great deal. Usually, far enough away from the Skyrunners that they could be mistaken as unaffiliated but to the observant, they returned to the ship like all the others. Brarset had been seen in the company of the Argent Crusade most often. Tucked away in corners talking or otherwise in the training grounds where Brarset was displaying his strength and what he had been taught by Dasota, Korgig, and others in the ways of melee combat. Shogra often wasn't far though she seemed to be talking to a weedy thin man more often. Whatever was going on they weren't talking about it openly but there was perhaps a withdraw from the others more so than usual on their parts. Occupied deep in their thoughts. The only time this wasn't true was during the songs within Lil'Orgrimmar which Shogra sung loudly and with passion each night.

❏ Narv, Muuran, and Harnor:  With their arrival in Northrend at last Harnor changed the diet of the tribe. More fatty and dense foods such as heavy meat, bread, nuts, and the like were served and in larger portions. Nakira was helpful to Harnor with the added workload and her ability to quickly pick up on things about the kitchen. It also helped that she was so small that the pair of them could fit in the smaller room without many accidental bumpings. Harnor had his usual good humor about him still and he encouraged everyone to return to the ship for food and drink. Those that did brave the fortress's food and came back hungry and feeling a bit ill always seemed to brighten the cook's day. Muuran was, as usual, hard at work in the forge. With the maces and axes finished he had moved on to arrowheads, ballista bolt heads, and spear heads. Though these wouldn't be of much use on their own with the scourge it was something to occupy his hands. Narv on the other hand was miserable. Not only was his pain increased from the chill but he couldn't even really help with anything. With so many able to work on the leathers and hides of the tribe he was put out of work. Not that this was a problem really. The opposite was true but the elder hated to feel useless. His mood soured and he took to spending time down in the Wyvern Hold with his wyvern whenever he could get someone to take him down there. Of course, this did no good for his pain with it being so cold down there. He was never seen any more without Mahala's enchanted blanket around his shoulders.

❏ Kanatu: The Chieftain continued to display some strange behavior since arriving in Northrend. The meeting with Taka Ironwoods had set in motion an odd change. The Chieftain often could be seen walking around the hold with the Taunka, speaking in the dialect of the taunka people as he did. When he wasn't with the Primal he often went to speak alone to the Argent Crusade. Those who saw him there would notice that he was treated something like a hero among them. While the fight against the Lichking had happened long ago it would seem that his time among them still had influence. Kanatu spent less time aboard and when he was aboard he preferred to keep to himself or to speak alone with Korgig. His voice and words grew rougher and snorter, his fur looked wilder and his eyes blazed with a determination, or perhaps anger, just under the surface. Still, in many ways, he looked the most comfortable here out of anyone, like he belonged in the wild north.
