Runes are not affected by material, size, or shape. They are entirely affected by detail and the type of Rune used. Runes follow a 3000 letter alphabet. Currently, there are 1500 fully understood Runes, with the rest being either esoteric or their properties aren't fully understood. Meaning that most people learn how to do certain types of Runes rather than know all of them. Takes many years of hard practice to learn up to 100 letters. Though, basic sets runes can be taught to someone easily. And it’s often easier to learn sets of runes to get the same effects, rather than make your own. Described like learning a word is easier than learning the alphabet. Runes can only affect one object at a time, for example making it completely immune to one specific type of damage. But they can also be used to enchant wearable items to give the wearer the qualities of said item.

Manifestation

Runes can manifest a multitude of complex or simple mechanics. Normally, the longer the rune phrase the, more complex of an effect it has. There are very few exceptions to this rule, such as family taught Runes. It can force objects to move in any conceivable way, or cause an object to bestow properties to a owner. An example would be a Nightglow Torch.

Localization

Runes are carved or written into any physical surface. Runes are activated two different ways, either through a phrase described in the runes (Active) or are on by default (Passive). Active runes tend to be more potent than passive runes. Runes can be decoded to find out what each rune specifically do.  Runes are typically found on jewelry, tools, or equipment. But are not exclusive to them.

Basic runes

Starting off with a basic set of runes we have the most commonly used ones in tools. They are as follows:

Fa La Ka Ra Na
Fu Lu Ku Ru Nu
Fi Li Ki Ri Ni
Fy Ly Ky Ry Ny
Fe Le Ke Re Ne

Fa, Fu, Fi, Fy, and Fe are the most simple. They are the ammount of force you want your object to exert. Fa being the least which can barely move some papers and Fe being the most and being able to crash down walls.

The La set is used to light up an object where the rune is located. Again, descending the list increases intensity.

The Ka set is the weight of an object. Ka and Ku make an object lighter, Ki ie setting the object to its normal weight, and Ky and Ke make an object heavier.

The Ra set is sensitivity of forces. For example, if one grips the rune or another object presses on the rune. Ra is only detecting for a touch, and Re is if 100Kgs or more are pressing down on the rune.

Lastly is the Na set. They are like the logic switches of the runes; Na is "off", Nu is "on", Ni is "and", Ny is "or", Ne is "if".

How to combine Runes

Runes can be conbined very easily. Carving runes next to eachother is enough to connect them. If you don't want runes to be combined, just seperate them with a line. The line needs to be the same width or more then the line size of the runes.
Fa Le Na
Fe Le Na

Where do runes come from?

Runes come from the power of Takenea. All of the land has some form of elemental power. Runes are used to shape this power into localized phenomenons. The reason for their shapes has to do with how the elemental flow works within the Runes, making Runes more like a conduction of power rather than a source of power.
