Globally:

  • The whole world was disrupted by the coliding of the planes; the people who vanished and those who appeared.
  • Once we hit 20 years after the final battle with the chaos, its effects are starting to now be seen.
  • Babies have been born with strange and unexpected magic or abilities, or with physical attributes not held by their parents.
  • More people have started to develop powers, gain boons or curses from strange dreams, change meetings in the woods, accidents at sea etc

Glyndore:

  • Over the next 20 years the country largely focuses on recovery. It takes time, but the country does return better than it was. Social systems are in place, the populace is thriving, trade has grown and Glyndore is recognised globally.
  • The planatar refugees who were not able to find their way home have been integrated and found their homes across the country; bringing with them new ideas, magics and potential.
  • The Queen and King are beloved by the people and their growing family promises a happy country for many years to come. The 8 princes and princesses have been raised along side their teifling cousins; who have themselves been recognised and part of the royal family but not inline for the throne.
    • Prince Owen
    • Princess Penelope
    • Prince Caspien
    • Twin Princess Yondalla
    • Twin Princess Elizabeth
    • Prince Rupert
    • Prince Adrian
    • Princess Violet

Zafquorel:

  • Great strides have been made in moving past the seperation of the two cities. While some will likely always prefer thinks the way they were, the benefits of a more cooperative continent are being felt across both cities.
  • Traditionally the dragonborn have largely kept to themselves and still are on the most part. but there is a natural bond between Kadrith and Glyndore now that has opened up more trade, travel and exchanging ideas
  •

Adesh:

  • Has had the most dramatic change in terms of geography.
  • Land that was just desert has started to grow. Land that was no use to anyone now has value and the rich, opportunitist or lucky have jumped on the chance. What this will lead to long term is unclear, but at the very least, a good setion has been left to the firbolgs, the locals call it Bayat; the local word for home.
  • Bayat has also welcomed new people to their little communitee. Mostly people from other planes, who have landed in this strange world and feel very out of place with the hustle and bustle have found peace tending to the growthing forest with the firbolgs.

Axerock:

  • Gotten used to their new king, and the new queen is largely ignored.
  • Maintains its good relationship with Glyndore and Hillbrew, particularly as all the elves who wanted to have now headed home.
  • Most of the planar refugees who ended up in Axerock have moved on, not wanting to live below ground, but it has attracted those who are used to the dark or the hotter planes. This has led them to expanding below the volcano and developing new technologies powered by the lava.

Hillbrew:

  • The beauty of Hillbrew is that its pretty unshakable. A strange aberation creature with four arms that arrives in the centre of town can harvest trees and make pies 4 times as fast.
  • They are happily plodding along, as they do, with a mostly seemless integration of any planar refugees
  •

Other:

  • Hylix has someone retreated from the global stage. The Undead storm hit their city hard and they have sought comfort with their own.
  • Drow: Always kept themselves to themselves, drow have started popping up across the world, seemingly searching for somethign at the instruction of their new 'god' some unknown being who arrived during the collision
  • Orcish Tribe Lands: Are gone, but the orcs were not all lost. Some strange interaction of magic caused the people to fuse with the elemental magics of the crushing ocean; turning most of the population into Tritons. Now they plan to rule the seas from beneath it.

Divine:

  • Perhaps it is learning from past mistakes, or the new god amongst them, but the gods are starting to have more presence. Granting powers to their champions and those who show their faith. Communicating more, both with those who respect them or disrespect them. No big waves yet, but the potential is there.
  • The following of Astarion has spread through the plane. Every time has at least a shine to him, and often this is paired as a memorial for those lost in the collision; praying for their return and safety.

Global:

  • The full impact of the Collision is now being seen. More and more planar abilities are presenting themselves in people across the country.
  • This has both positives and negatives. Some magic fuelled technologies are starting to be developed. There is more social mobility and people display never seen before strengths and the bounds of what is possible has extended.
  • However, not all the powers are used for good, or those without training cause accidents. This has led to an emerging 'anti-magic' movement.

Divine:

  • Astarian, god of balance, has listened to the wise words of those who put him in power. He decides that with the threat of the Chaos gone forever, it no lnger makes sesne to lock off the planes from eachother. He unlocks the gates between them, allowing a small trickle of passage through them for those in the no, those with the power.
  • This allows some people to return to the planes they came from and some poeple return from being displaced during the collision. Some return unchanged, some full of stories of their adventures, some haunted by the things they saw - bot some do not return at all.
  • The gods, Astarian included take more of an active role in the world. Blessing and curses, issuing quests, cultivatign new heroes and shaping their worship.
  • There is also a growing group of 'cults' across the land, for beings claiming to be gods or near-gods. Their requests vary and few seem connected in anyway. MOst fold in on themselves within a few years, but the odd one lasts and spreads a message of its own.
  • One of these, is of course, the now many growing followers of the Smiling Man. Forgetten, unloved or mistreated children across all the countries of the material plane start whispering of beings granting powers and dreams to them to improve their lives in some way. And finally at around the 50 year mark, The smiling man accends as the god of childrens dreams and nightmares.

Glyndore:

  • Queen Arhna and King Daniel rule over their country with kindness, compassion and fairness. The dark few years under Zanis are no longer felt by the masses but always remembered and it pushes the populace to all continually fight for peace.
  • Now in their 70's, though the queen doesn;t look it, the rest of the royal family have stepped up to ensure the rules of the land are followed and to maintain a connection with their people. They take it in turns to travel the lands in small groups, a mixture of prince/princess and cousins to ensure local authorities are not taking advantage of their power, that the people are cared for, and that there isn;t anything the community needs but cannot afford. They colloquially become known as the Crowns Gems who come to a village and leave it shiny.
  • Both the queen and the king champion the natural spaces of Glyndore keeping the forests protected that are now home to the fey beings who, utalising the established trade routes, have decided to spend some time in on the material plane.
  • All is well.

Zafquorel:

  • Has made great strides in the merging of the two cities, and the smaller villages outside.
  • Combining the natural strength and magical potential of the two kinds of dragonborn has raised a new generation of Dragonborn with the potential for anything.
  • The magical experimentation of what is possible is mostly coming from this continent, althought they aren;t too keen on sharing, and it does at times have rather explosive results!

Adesh:

  • The forests are growing. The lands have keep split up into homes, businesses, villages, communes and the unknown.
  • This has led to a power struggle, and is the centre of conflict regarding the state of the new world.
  • Groups of like minded thinkers congregate, shunning those who think differently and forming their own communities. Pro-magic, anti-magic, pro-a-god, anti-gods, groups with a plan, and groups without. All of this causes infighting, crime increases and those in charge aren't particularly concerned while their own investments are protected.

Axerock:

  • Now a city of variety, with their own portals through to the planes of earth and fire their metals and gemstone industries are thriving.
  • Digging deeper, their city expands downwards and their fine clockwork creations define a new age for the city.

Hillbrew:

  • Developed a whole new range of ciders and food based initially on the items Feeny bought back from the Feywild and expanded when Glyndore established traderoutes with them.
  • The once-ors, now tritons of the ocean are the new enemy on their shores that needs forcing back, and finally, after decades of trying, a small group of halfling fighters are set up to protect their shores.

Other:

  • Helix: Have suffered and haven't been able to reconcile. The gnomes have split, those who are fearful of the outside and those who are not. The decision was made to split the city in two, the above ground, and the below ground. The above ground forest gnomes of 'Upper Helix' have started trying to work out who they are as a people and re-entering the global space. Those below in 'Lower Helix' have sealed themselves off, still afraid of the storms that bought death to their city.
  • Orcs: Those below the sea have continued their spread, locked in a stailmate against the sea elves and the merpeople. Not all orcs were 'at home' when the waves hit, and have had to find themselves a new place in the world. A small group have set up on the coast in Adesh, trying to protect their culture and establish a new Tribe-land.
  • Drow: Claiming their new god has assended they now travel the world spreading the word of the Opeque Shadow. This has caused some Drow to leave, mainly to the Seluna Isle, to continue the worship of the Spider Queen.
  • Elves: Kymils steady 'elveness' has been shaken by the collision, and the tentions between its nations have been stretched trying to fit those who do not fit into their communities which has led to some political battles for borders and resources that will continue for many years to come.
  • Goliaths: Resistent to too much change, their lifestyle continues with some new planar additions and some scarier monsters in their homelands. Kord has blessed them for their continued faith.
